Before a single machine moves on site, the foundation for effective tree protection must be in place. We review your plans and arboricultural documentation, confirm Tree Protection Zones, and ensure construction methods within sensitive areas are appropriate and understood by the full project team.
Getting this stage right sets the tone for everything that follows — and significantly reduces the risk of tree loss, council intervention, or costly rectification works during construction.
Demolition is consistently the highest-risk stage for retained trees. Machinery, access routes, and debris management can all cause irreversible damage to root zones and canopy if not properly supervised.
We attend site to direct and supervise all works within or adjacent to Tree Protection Zones, and issue a compliance inspection report at the conclusion of this stage — confirming that retained trees are protected and that construction can proceed.
Throughout the construction phase, we conduct regular site inspections to monitor tree condition, verify that protection measures remain in place, and provide prompt, practical guidance when issues arise.
Where works are required within a Tree Protection Zone, we provide onsite supervision and direction — ensuring every action within the TPZ is carried out by the right people, in the right way, with the required compliance documentation issued for councils and certifiers.
At practical completion, we carry out a final assessment of all retained trees to evaluate their condition following construction and confirm that all arboricultural conditions of consent have been satisfied.
